We had our second largest crowd ever at MT about 5 years ago against lowly Southeast Missouri State, a team that I had bragged on the message boards that we'd beat by 50.
Wrong.......the 1-aa program and former Ohio Valley Conference mate upset us.
All I'm saying is........ what comes around goes around. I am predicting a Cajun victory over Troy this weekend. They are very beatable and are coming off of a big upset, and your guys' backs are up against the wall.
Your players need/deserve the support, and you folks know as much as I, a season cannot be judged by one game. And PLEASE do not commence to calling other Cajun folks names and start "hating" other fans, like some at MT have done through the Andy McCollum firing, etc. We are still a divided fanbase. It is not healthy. Your are ALL in this together.
Keep your heads up and things will get better when you least suspect it.
Hell, we at MT have now lost 6 straight dating back to last season.
Have fun, but most importantly, stick with your team through thick and through thin. I know you will.
Best of Luck, and beat the snot out of Condom State !!
Thanks, K Raider!
Re: Don't get down, Cajun fans
Did anybody experience deja vu saturday night? Trouble scoring in second half, twice we gave them excellent field position after going 3 and out. They scored on their 2nd opportunity. Man that sounds really familiar to what happened against Ohio.
Re: It's "No Use" Hundley Leaves Team
Thanks guys.
I was getting the stories in my head combined.
In 1999 (I think) Folse was a senior and was named opening day starter and at the last minute Baldwin picked folse over Derek Dyer who had supposedly won the starting job in the spring.
I guess when Baldwin benched Derek Dyer for VanCleave in 2001 Dyer wanted no part of this serious case of déjà vu.

Fall Ball starts either 9/24 or 10/1. Come on Baseball and Softball , our only hope and possible Women's B'ball. Soccer hopefully will get MUCH better and Our track program will come back. I don't expect Football to recover from this for another 5 years, GOD let me eat Crow please, and then there is Basketball. NO hope at all for that program. Pessimist, sorry. Having one of those moments. Let me go to sleep til Febraury-2008

I'm researching how bears hibernate as we speak. I think I've got it figured out. Setting my alarm for opening day of UL baseball.

One being an ex player from 06 on this site calling out past team-mates and telling ppl who created the group or who is an admin. As anybody knows that has played sports for UL or any TEAM knows that we are a family and some things should be kept quite. BUt that is just my opinon, all I know is things that go one with a FAMILY OR IN THE COMPLEX SHOULD STAY THERE! As for the Teams preception to ppl I cant say or control things, I just try to present myself in a way that my family and TEAM would/will be proud of. Hope this helps, see saturday at cajun field.
Well, I am extremly happy that you came and talked about this. like I said to mike, it takes a big man to do what you did, and for my part in misinterpreting it, I apologize. I hope that this is water under the bridge, it wasn't meant as a way to call you out for your performance because I wasn't, more so that I know your one of the good guys, and you always talk up about the cajuns to which I am completely thankful for. Please accept my apologies and I hope to see you kick some Trojan _____ saturday night.
Take care,
Tuffguy
