Even as a Marshall fan and I serious root for the sink hole when WVU plays anything. He was the best thing at WVU since 1970-74 and Bobby Bowden. He had them in the national spotlight fr about 5 years.

Yep. WVU would have played in the national championship game instead of LSU in 2007 if WVU had beaten Pittsburg in the Backyard Brawl.

Going after Knowles sort of follows the Ron Roberts approach that Napier took when he arrived here. An older DC with head coaching experience who can take control of that side of the ball with no need to micromanage.

Well, let's remember that Billy had hired someone else (quite a bit younger) who accepted the job and then was hired away by Saban. Roberts was the guy after that.
