It is. And folks don’t wanna hear it, but splitting the DH today would be a very good result.
Sweeping a DH is tough to do. Even tougher on the road. And even tougher against a good team.
The Cajuns have given themselves a little cushion in the conference. Not getting swept on any weekend is a big goal towards being the regular season champ. And that starts by making sure to win one game today.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Ump wasn’t the reason for the loss. As you pointed out, I don’t think we adjusted to his strike zone.

If we can go 1-1 today, especially winning the first game after last night, I’ll feel pretty darn good about this team.
Win one. At least keep the other competitive into the 9th.

So the bats lost it by not sitting on all those balls.
Conversely CC won it by sitting on all those strikes that were called balls.

Yep. 1-1 would be an okay result given how last night went. Really want to win the 12 o clock game and take the pressure off. If they win that, play free and loose in game 3 and who knows what can happen.

This! And take the momentum into the rubber match!
One pitch at a time.
Re: BB G1 Final: Louisiana 1, Coastal 9
We didn’t pitch good the first two innings.
We didn’t Field good the first two innings.
We didn’t bat good the first 9 innings.
That is not a recipe for victory.
David Christy had a miraculous outing and saved our bull pen for today. had an umpire for one of the games that was atrocious. Our coach started looking hard at him and finally recognized him as an umpire from south Louisiana.
At one point our coach was finally ejected. His last words to the umpire at a level that all the crowd could here was:
You know guy, I now recognize you. You sucked as an umpire in Louisiana and you suck as an umpire in Atlanta too . . .
