Nice to know he’s that infatuated with UL. He’s gone soon, my ULM buddies laugh about he’s still getting paid from his previous gig and that’s how they can afford him. That will run out one day and they’ll be back to hiring high school coaches with no D1 experience.

We don't hate black. We fully support the black unis we wear for Service Appreciation Game. It's just that we REALLY love Vermilion Red and Evangeline White, and we don't want to lose focus on WHY those colors matter to the fans, this university and all of the people of Louisiana.
On a personal note, I find the fascination with black uniforms very childish. If we gave every High School and/or College football player a choice, EVERY school in America would have black uniforms. There is nothing cool about Groupthink.
Be a Rebel! Be proud of your colors! I say paint the entire state in VERMILION !!!!!!!!!!!

. . . I love all three of our colors . . . we have already given our players and fans a choice and have risen to the occasion . . . custom and usage rules and has been in effect way before GROUPTHINK was a thing . . . the Rebel in me makes me fight even more to keep our three school colors . . .

Why is Holland allowed to wear orange, their flag colors are red white and blue and Italy wears blue but their flag colors are red green and white

Your logic is that because the state flag primarily royal blue and yellow we’re free to use red and white?

Well a country is not a school so what else should it deem official other than national flag. On the other hand clearly all schools in state have their own method of designating official.
The point was not what we use or don't use, they point was their choice while different was not complained about

Just about every UL flag that comes up on Google seems to have black in it. Not sure which is the official school flag. (The state of LA flag also has white and black and red
