I wish they would have done a 6 level building fronting Lewis, that way they could have used it for academics and made the garage look like an academic building instead of a garage.

2) The portion of the building facing Lewis Street will be an Engineering Lab that will require equipment that is greater than one story in height.
That explains it.....thanks

In Post #31, Nov 20th, 2013. I knew I had seen it written somewhere, I couldn't remember where. It may have been the request for approval, or an article in The Advertiser. Glad to see the confirmation, so I wasn't dreaming it. Now I can sleep at night.

I guess the main reason for that is that I very much like the plan to build the other two buildings that would flank Oliver, and then build another quad area. I know, this may be a long time off, but in my mind the parking tower access jeopardizes this....but maybe I am wrong about that?
I think it will look okay. I'm sure they'll nudge the access up close to Fletcher Hall and it won't be that noticeable.

Access will be about where the job access point is now. Fairly close to Fletcher hall. It was a second drive into the parking lot was placed on the old McNaspy field.

Some pics from this morning. Really difficult to get a good pic from the ground, but I am also posting some (really cool) aerial shots that were posted on the Fletcher Hall FaceBook page

And it looks like they are progressing in demolishing Stokes A&B: the whole area is now fenced-off, and they have emptied out the interior contents (mattresses, etc).
