The conference, Learfield, ESPN take your pick. It seems everyone else is able to get P5 visits and still get 6 home games. I’d trade a P5 home game even if it meant 2 FCS home games. We’re absolutely the worst athletic department for football and basketball scheduling.

Disagree! It worked for the SEC; Alabama kept it's game with Tennessee, LSU kept it's game with Florida and Auburn kept it's game with Georgia. It can be done, there has to be a commitment to keeping good rivalries and growing your television audience.

That was done strictly for Alabama and Tennessee. For many years lsu fans and administrators were p!$$ed that they had to play Florida every year and their competition would have Vanderbilt and South Carolina. So that’s a very good example of exactly why most feel that doesn’t work. Most SEC schools want to do away with the common opponent but Alabama has that much stroke.

I don't care about the process, just the results. Where there is a will, there is a path to better scheduling.

What he said has been known for decades. Alabama and Tennessee, Auburn and Georgia. LSU fans hate being paired with Florida who has been the top East program for decades until the recent Georgia rise. They especially think that the two Mississippi teams have gotten a pass on their permanent East opponents
