Still historically true, but scratch that.
The ULM game was higher. Although, at the time, some thought the numbers were inflated.
This game had the second highest number of potential long term fans in the stands.

Winning three next week goes a long way in forgetting last night, but you can't discount the damage done by losing almost 30 points in RPI and whatever the loss in BPI was. That one game could be the difference between a possible 12 seed and a 14 seed.
Now, if we somehow get to the 2nd round or the Sweet 16 in the NCAA tourney with our lower seed, THEN nobody remembers last night. That would be akin to the 2000 baseball team getting swept at home before going on a tear all the way to the CWS.

Disappointing to say the least. But, gotta flush it and move on. Better to get some humble pie here than next week.
As far as the crowd... I would think the big time recruit hopefully came away impressed with the passion of the Cajun fans who DID get into the game and get behind the team - trying to be that crucial 6th man. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough. Maybe that tells Jordan he can come in and help right away.
Don’t think we helped ourselves in any way with Brown. Crowd too small, team losing to a really bad team.
Davis isn’t our best option ever. So I wasn’t surprised he didn’t hit the floor.
Re: MBB GameON: Louisiana vs. Little Rock
Too many showboating plays lost us points. Easily 5-6 wasted possessions. Poor FT shooting, probably the worse of the season, lost us points. This alone keeps the game from going to OT.
I wonder if Jerikus Davis is healthy, as he has sat him for full games when he obviously has the ability to score and defend.
Lastly, after watching all the home games and most of the away games on the net, AKLR didn't look like the "last place team" in the conference. They matched up well against us. Their bigs are long and athletic and their guards are tough and physical.

Losing high attendance games isn’t a tradition. It’s usually because those games are against the best competition we face. Last night was a coronation against a weak opponent. Now failing in those are a tradition. Remember losing a football championship because of a horrible USA. How’s about the first FBS Win for WKU.

You nailed it.
I hope the team doesn't think too hard about the loss last night and just returns to doing their season long thing.
Unfortunately other teams will be trying harder-longer after witnessing Little Rock do their thing.
A rematch Friday afternoon would surly bring a focused team.

The 24 hour rule has set in for me and it should for the team. But be very careful about supposedly identifying bandwagon fans, I've got 32 plus years in supporting the Ragin' Cajuns brand out of my pocket and addition to my personal physical labor. They are number of people out there that are not confident Coach Marlin can finish a great season like this in the NCAA Tournament. That doesn't make them bandwagon fans, they just don't think he has done enough at UL in 8 years. And the attendance numbers for a season like this one indicate there are a number who do not think much of him, including students.

A coaches perspective. Thanks
