Smart.
And when we gotta add more space, count me in on helping fund that.

Havent heard of any renderings but, from what I heard they should start East Side after the 2025 season.

I heard the duck blinds will be there a few years while they square up the state money.

Better start laying the faux brick facade on the duck blind then.
I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that new turf will be put down before 2025 season, anyone want to confirm or deny that?

Re: Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium
Will the East side be a complete gutting like the West side?

Re: Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium
2024 Championship would’ve looked so nice up there.

I believe so. I think it will mirror the west side. Just have different interior layout.
IMO that would be the wisest thing to do since the specs for the exterior, materials and construction specifics are all known already.

That would look slick.

That is correct. Also have heard they will redo the current seating on the east side this off season. New press box structure still couple if years away as I understand it today.

I expect they will have to do a total redo; that side doesn't meet today's building codes either. I don't know what is coming though.

Re: Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium
My understanding was that the east will all be redone at the same time, like the west. So duck blinds for press until the east side work starts.

I had actually emailed Scott Hebert about this* a month or so ago and here is his reply:
“We are currently in the Schematic Design phase of the project and already have a CMAR on board. If the funding falls in place we could potentially start construction as early as 2026.“
*I had specifically asked about the timeline for the east tower, not necessarily re-doing the lower bowl….but I am pretty sure they plan on doing it all at one time.
-
Re: Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium
I also have no idea what a CMAR is, lol

"CMAR stands for Construction Manager at Risk, a project delivery method that involves a construction manager (CM) who agrees to complete a project within a guaranteed maximum price (GMP)"
So, some GC (like JB Mouton or Lemoine) agreed/estimated they could construct w/e was in the schematic for ___ budget.
-
Re: Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium
So they are for sure gutting and redoing the lower bowl as well?

For row spacing purposes they probably have to.

Same thing I was told a month or so ago by someone working the project.

Re: Our Lady of Lourdes Stadium
The east side is definitely NOT a mirror of the west side. Keep in mind that one of the primary purposes of the eastside will be to house offices from the current Cox building. Similar I'm sure but definitely not a mirror of the West side.
