The guy on the left is Cali Cajun. He has been deceased for a few years. A real quiet, soft spoken fella. Those some great times!! In fact we might have had more fun when the Cajuns sucked. Go figure.

Since those days, UL has been ranked higher than LSU in football. UL is R1. UL topped $200M in research funding. And, UL brings in the largest research contract in Louisiana university history. Athletic facilities none of us would have dared to dream of are here. The Sunbelt is the top non-P5 conference. And, Joe got married. All of these are absolutely amazing!
And, the best days are yet to come! Great things are happening for UL. We often get bogged down with day to day downers, but where we have come from and where we are going - wow, simply amazing. I am more fired up for our university today as I have ever been. Geaux Cajuns!
