Larry Pettis - TE NR 6'-4"
Dominique Tovell - DE NR 6'-3"
Micah Eugene - CB NR 5'-10" _
Here is my wish list (since Siener, Smith, McNeal and Pettis are already commited)
#1 Bakari Hollier, shut down corner that the Cajuns need now that Orkeyes is gone.
#2 Dominique Tovell, watching this kid play on tape, he can be something special. We need a powerfull DE and Tovell could be the guy.
#3 Micah Eugene, not sure why I am putting him on the list, I am convinced that he is pretty solidly purple and puke, but if for some reason we cold get either Hollier or Eugene, i would be happy.
#4 Sam Scofield, I would love to sneak this one from Tulane, you can never have enough good safeties and while this is not a position of need, we have been injury prone here over the last few years. But man the list of Safeties we have is pretty good (2010 Freshman Winston Burnette-still has a huge upside, 2010 Freshman Cooper Gerami, played extremely well as a freshman, 2010 Junior Lionel Stokes, recieved tons of playing time and was impressive, 2010 Junior Lemarcus Gibson, played well in his first year, 2010 Junior Lance Kelly, a leader on defense and seems to make big plays.
#5 Tyler Porter, same reason as Tovell up top. Especially if we can't sign Tovell.
#6 Evan Tatford, not really a position of need, especially with the signing of Pettis and having youngsters like Jacob Maxwell and Ian Thompson on the roster, plus still have a year left with LG in the mix.
Now all that being said, I would love to get each and everyone of these guys, but I realize that is not going to happen, so if I had to hope for them to fall in any order, above would be my hope.

I am almost 100% certain that Tovell will commit to the Cajuns, but it will not be as a DE. He has been offered at the MLB position, at 6'3" and 235 pounds he will be a force in the middle. That will enable us to play Lewis-Buchannon and Jelani Smith at their natural OLB positions as well as A. Hebert. We should be good enough of defense next year that if we can score enough points we will win a lot of games.

Couple of things. First, Safety IS a position of need. We have all upperclassmen next year and we need guys for the future of this position like we do at CB and LB.
Tovell will not be brought in at DE,,,,Thank God. We need a kid of his size and range in the middle of this defense and if you've seen his video, you know he will bring the wood and give us some toughness that we haven't had. He needs to stay at LB.
Bakari Hollier would be huge but a possible defection by Eugene would be monumental.
Tatford will still be recruited hard. He is a good kid with great academics. He is also talented and has the frame to be recruited for OT in the future even if TE doesn't work out. He is somebody that we need as he will make your team better and work hard.

Here is your Safety's for 20011 season:
Sr's. - Lance Kelly and LaMarcus Gibson
Jr.'s - None
So's.- Cooper Gerami and Winston Burnette
Fr.- Earnest Gardner
We desperately deed a JuCo Safety and and a HS Safety.

Don't forget our starting FS will be a senior in Lionel Stokes.
I presume that Gerami can play both safety spots later on due to his size and speed but Burnette is still a little raw although he has the size we like.

Because of lack of depth at CB and the fact Lionel Stokes was brought in to play CB I believe he will be moved back to CB.
Our current CB on our roster for 2011.
Sr.'s Dwight Bentley and Melvin White
Jr. Rodney Gillies who has never played a down
So. None
Fr. Teverance Patt who has never played a down.
We are in serious need at CB in this recruiting class. We may need 1 or 2 JuCo. For this reason I think Stokes will be moved back to CB.
