Abbeville - Gueydan fire chief charged with child sex crimes

Louisiana State Police detectives, working in cooperation with Immigration Customs Enforcement agents, the Lafayette Police Department and the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested the Gueydan fire chief on Monday for charges relating to child sex crimes.
Several months ago, troopers obtained information that 43-year-old Lindsey T. Leblanc of Gueydan was engaging in sexually explicit conversations with whom he believed to be an underage female.
Through the course of investigation, troopers discovered Leblanc was the fire chief of Gueydan, LA.
