Abbeville - City Council will review, remodel Civil Service tests

The Abbeville City Council will soon be reviewing and remodeling Civil Service tests that are given to potential city employees.
At Tuesday night’s meeting, the council formed a committee including Abbeville Public Works Supervisor Clay Menard, Carrie Harris, department supervisors and Council men Francis Touchet and Francis Plaisance to review the current tests.
Clay Menard told the council that every person who seeks employment with the City of Abbeville has to take a civil service test and must score a certain percentage on the test to obtain a job.
