Louisiana Announces the Addition of Woods as Assistant Basketball Coach

Louisiana Men's Basketball announced the hiring of Giovonne Woods as assistant coach under first-year head coach Quannas White.
Woods joins the bench along with assistants Donald Reyes, Scott Raines, and Josh White.

I wonder what role Coach Woods will have. Perhaps he will be Director of Basketball Operations. You generally are allowed to have 3 full time assistants and those were previously named.

Think schools can have up to 5 asst coaches now. Two of them can’t recruit off campus, though.
Seems pretty clear UL is pushing the chips in for basketball, and I love it.

Thanks for the update. That makes sense. One of the five could be Director of Operations and the other could have the general manager role. The GM deals with NIL issues at many places

I have to imagine that just dealing with NIL stuff is a full time job.
