Sounds like he didn’t get a lot of upfront money. Or more likely Hawkins hurt his NBA value when he thought the move would increase it.
Or buyer’s remorse and he’s getting heat.
If a program like K State NIL can’t absorb the miss, NIL won’t work except at a handful of programs.

However results for the schools and their investors will repeat these results over 50% of the time (not making the post season.)
And they will "feel" like the came up empty 99% of the time.
