For the 2024 season, Louisiana football’s backup quarterback is redshirt senior Chandler Fields.
During the Cajuns' offseason, Fields was nearly neck and neck for the starting spot with senior Ben Wooldridge, according to head coach Michael Desormeaux. Fields was the guy last season after Wooldridge suffered a season-ending injury after three games
