Louisiana arises as a College Football Playoff contender
Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns football has emerged as a potential Group of 5 contenders as it sits with a 7-1 overall record and the only undefeated team in Sun Belt Conference play. It will likely be a long shot for the Cajuns to make the 12-team cut, but they are creating a buzz as they grind out win after win.

Great to see the advertiser putting stories like this out. Basically, just covering UL again. Print is certainly going the way of the dodo, but some people still get the paper, and some read online. We need to keep UL in the community's face anyway possible. Especially with good news like what this football team is accomplishing right now.

If it were a 14 or 16 team playoff with every Conference champ getting in plus at large bids, like it should be, we would be right on track.

A little National publicity doesn't hurt. For those around the program, do these things matter to recruits?
Re: Louisiana arises as a College Football Playoff contender
I would say we have about a 33% chance. 1 in 3 chance. All depends on which team actually wins the MWC and AAC championships and of course we have to win out and win the SBC Championship.
If Boise wins out they are in. If Tulane wins out and wins the AAC they are in over us due to head to head.
Need Boise or Tulane to lose somewhere.

Its bigger than if it matters.
You never want your recruiter having to introduce himself (and the school) to the recruit with the recruit having no clue who you are.
If that's the case the percentages of signing the recruit go below the percentages of making the CFP.
This advertising guarantees the recruit has (at the very least) a positive feel for who you are.
