Louisiana Men's Basketball welcomes in-state foe Louisiana Christian to the Cajundome on Wednesday for a preseason exhibition game with less than a week to go before the start of the regular season. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. as part of a doubleheader with the women who open the day against Centenary.

I could not make game tonight due to a granddaughter function. However, I studied box score in detail. Looks like starters were Christian Wright, Kentrell Garnett, London Fields, Kendall Davis, and Karen Ratliff. Star was freshman Jeremiah Evan’s with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Team shot poorly from 3 but did hit over 50 percent from the field for game. They had a 23 point lead at half and had lead to 31 in second half. In these type games I always look at that. You should get a 20 point lead at some point in the first half and a 30 point lead in the second. That was accomplished.
Re: UL Hosts LCU in Preseason Exhibition
Our defense especially in first half looked good. Lots of intensity and hustle. We’re going to be able to attack the rim. We’ll see about 3pt. Lots of bad misses. Big emphasis on rebounding. Without Hosanna will be more limited but good to see guards working for rebounds.
TOs less pronounced. Fewer silly passes. Team will have to work out rotations. We will match up with shorter and fast teams. Big inside game will impact our game.
I’ll miss Hosanna but I think this team will play a fun game. If we really don’t hit 3pts, we’ll have less fun.
Already tired of the pro wrestling/NBA PA announcer. And just unplug the DJ.
Got to talk to some of our women bball players. Lots of injuries. Told them studying too much led to that. Got a lot of eye rolls. Do we have the last of the student athletes?
Overall fun night. Softball till 5th inning and then bball. Life is good.

In their first action since March, Louisiana men's basketball team cruised to a 91-67 win over Louisiana Christian in an exhibition contest on Wednesday in the Cajundome. Louisiana had four players in double figures and all 11 players scored on the night.

I was/am expecting big things out of Hardy this year, sucks he starts on the bench. I heard he got an elbow to the jaw in practice.

I like the early tests against Kent State and Houston. We will get to see how the newcomers play against some good competition.
