Kitenge Earns Preseason First Team All-SBC Honors

Hosana Kitenge was named to the All-Sun Belt Conference Preseason First Team the league announced on Monday. Last season Kitenge earned All-SBC Third Team honors. The league also announced its preseason poll on Monday which had the Ragin' Cajuns fourth.

How about Marlin losing the preseason player of the year. That is embarrassing.

I would imagine Hosana has a good support system in place with his teammates, coaches, and a team of medical staff.

The fact remains this is a huge negative for the future of our program. Expectations for this season just decreased drastically and any hopes of an honest evaluation of this coaching staff and program just walked out the door.

Terrible news for the Cajun basketball program. Really feel bad for Hosana as I'm sure this has to be very disappointing for the young man. Hope he has a full recovery.

Mike, hate to be selfish as his health is most important right now, but can he use a redshirt year this year?

Mike, did this injury occur recently? I saw him and a couple of other players at the Tulane game he looked fine. Of course, it could be something other than a lower body injury, but he was moving normally.

He plans on coming back next year.
