Good, bad and ugly from UL-Tulane matchup that should have been played at night
There’s certainly a lot to unpack when analyzing UL’s 41-33 loss to Tulane on Saturday at Cajun Field.
Off the field, the game should never have been played at 11 a.m. in September. To my knowledge, UL’s athletic department requested a 7 p.m. kickoff.
Regardless, the decision-makers at ESPN and/or the Sun Belt Conference have got to show more wisdom than that. Shame on every person responsible for sacrificing the fans in making that call.

Louisiana's 13-game home winning streak against non-conference opponents was nice while it lasted.

Solid article by Foote of the mishaps on coaching play calling in situations through out the game. I thought this was the year that Des was going to be better at that. I’m still not giving up hope. We can win the belt.

I saw a few WTH play calls, but overall he called a game that was good enough for the win. Woolridge played way to conservatively, to quick to check down and not taking a few more chances. We won’t beat the good teams left on the schedule always taking the check down routes. Dez was clearly not happy with the result or the conservative nature of Ben during this game.
The only suspect call to me was the 2pt conversion. I did not agree with that decision and the play call was worse.
Man I hate losing games.
