Pair of Cajuns Earn SBC Track & Field Athlete of the Week Honors

Louisiana Track and Field earned a pair of Sun Belt Conference Athlete of the Week honors the league announced on Wednesday.
Jamhad Booth took home Male Track Athlete of the Week while Mari Robinson was named Female Track Athlete of the Week.
Jamhad took over the top spot in the SBC in the 100 with a time of 10.20 at the Warhawk Invitational, also moving him to second in UL history. He also ran a 21.03 in the 200 over the weekend.
Mari had a huge weekend winning both the 100 (11.42) and 200 (23.36) at the Warhawk Invitational. The senior's times were the second-best in both events in the SBC this spring. She also moved up the Louisiana record book to 4th in the 100 and 3rd in the 200.
Louisiana is off this weekend before heading back to Monroe, Louisiana for the SBC Championships beginning May 9.
