Baseball Event Staffing Suggestion
I understand the concession stands are staffed by volunteers and an opportunity for their schools to raise money with tips, BUT
What are thoughts on making those paid positions? I know the response will be that we can't afford it. My thought is that we put some signage in place with a number to contact about ticket/seat disputes. Stipulate that if you are in a section that you don't have tickets to, you will be escorted out of the game. We don't need a ticket nazi every 7 feet and could staff a much smaller "security team" to offset the cost of hiring paid concession workers. Just something I was thinking of while standing in line yesterday.

I would like to know what other programs do across the country. What do the top dogs do? what does the bottom of the barrel do? What does the average low end P5 or high end G5 do? In my opinion, I would rather see actual workers there and hopefully get better/quicker service on a more consistent basis.

Re: Baseball Event Staffing Suggestion
The ticket nazzi's really don't do anything anyway. They just get paid for standing there. That's fine with me. It's not convenient to pull out phone and pull up ticket for every passage... so they don't stop anyone. I personally don't mind. If someone is in my seats, I just sit adjacent if they are empty. If adjacent is occupied, then I'd probably ask them to move and I'm sure it would be no bid deal...
Re: Baseball Event Staffing Suggestion
It’s really the same across all sports. We pay people to sit in lawn chairs guarding empty parking lots at football. I’m sure they would tell you it’s because of “liability.”

Nonsense. They clog up the concourse, slowing foot traffic, very effectively.
