Paul Finebaum Predicts CFP Disaster for Group of 5
Next season will mark the beginning of a new era in college football.
The College Football Playoff is set to expand from four to 12 teams and will guarantee access to at least one team from outside the game’s power conferences for the first time. The five-way quest for CFP glory between the AAC, Conference USA, MAC, Mountain West and Sun Belt will add further intrigue to a fascinating season

Shills like Finebaum easily forget that "power" teams also run into the buzzsaws that are Alabama and Georgia, who can just as easily run up 40+ points on them.

He is trying to make sound like news.
It's not.
Blowouts happen from time to time in Superbowls where the playing field is level.
Re: Paul Finebaum Predicts CFP Disaster for Group of 5
When have we ever listened to Finebaum? His focus goes little outside the lines of the SEC. And the top tier SEC, specifically. Maybe he's changed his tune since I used to listen to him on the radio, but if he talked anything outside of Auburn and Alabama, you had a story.
There are far more "G5" and low tier "P5" schools than the top CFP candidates every year. Far more. Hopefully there is power in numbers.

Is this heading to a separate G5 championship? The token spot they are giving to1 G5 school is still a joke. The bowl games have become a joke with teams having 6-6 and 6-7 records. Need something more meaningful to play for.
