These numbers may be a byproduct of forcing yourself into 3rd and long on offense, and giving the opponent 3rd and short on defense.

These are the kind of stats that could be the answer to everything or mean nothing at all.

41.7% third-down percentage on offense, 50th, the defense ranks 87th, allowing a 40.5% conversion rate. 101 in attempts so we are in 3rd down a lot.

Numbers mean little in the moment but tell a story afterwards. At least in my opinion.

Those are the most important stats, getting big stops when needed and depending upon big plays of 20 or more yards to win.

Not converting and not getting off the field on 3rd down is a recipe for more Ls than Ws.
