UL Wins NSF Grant for Ecology Center

Biology awarded NSF grant for Ecology Center renovations

Biology Department faculty Dr. Jimmy Nelson (PI), Dr. Nic Kooyers, Dr. Mark Genung, Dr. Robyn Zerebecki, and Andre Daugereaux (UL Ecology Center) secured an National Science Foundation (NSF) grant titled, "Research Infrastructure: Increasing Capacity at the University of Louisiana Lafayette Ecology Center." The grant provides $412,064 for improvements including a farm tractor to expand experimental fields, greenhouse renovations to modernize the infrastructure and enable controlled experiments, and laboratory equipment.
