The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team put the finishing touches on its most complete weekend performance thus far in Sun Belt play, and picked up its first series sweep of the season, with a 10-0 (5 inn.) win over UT Arlington on Sunday at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park.

The game Wednesday is the most important one for an RPI boost. If the bats stay hot, Landry might only be needed once on the weekend. And hasn't Texas seen Landry the least of the 3 pitchers? I think only 2 innings.

I definitely would. It’s the most important game of the week. She can handle 3 games in 5 days as should her support staff.

Please explain what you mean by "RPI boost", in relation to Wednesday's game.

The Cajuns have 4 games this week. If they are to win 3 games out of the 4, I would prefer all the wins coming against Texas State. We need to win the conference or the conference tournament to make a regionals. If we get into a regional it will probably be as a 3 seed, so beating Texas would be nice but at the end of the day we aren't going from a 3 to 1 seed because of it.
