St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Press Release

According to Sheriff David Naquin during the last 72 hours the Sheriff's Office responded to 109 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Dejuan Q. Washington 23 yoa of 309 Mallard St., Morgan City was arrested on 3-5-2010 at 12:53 pm for Loud Music Prohibited. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Bayou Vista area, when he observed suspect vehicle traveling on Hwy 90 playing loud music. A Traffic stop was conducted and after investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 5-26-2010.
Michael Baxter 21 yoa of 301 Grazzaffi St. Lot # 2, Morgan City was arrested on 3-5-2010 at 12:21 pm on a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Speeding. Deputy was patrolling Frontage Road in Amelia when above suspect was observed spinning tires and a traffic stop was conducted. During investigation it was learned of a warrant for suspect's arrest. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $308.50 Cash bond and was later released.
Warren Harris Jr. 26 yoa of
528 Egle St
. Apt. # 10, Morgan City was arrested on 3-5-2010 at 6:30 pm for Open Alcoholic container. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Berwick area, when observed above suspect vehicle traveling with no headlights on and conducted a traffic stop. During investigation an open alcoholic container was observed in vehicle. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 5-26-2010.
Michael S. Cairins 27 yoa of
2748 Sixth St
., Berwick was arrested on 3-5-2010 at 10:03 pm for Driving Under Suspension and a warrant for Failure to Appear on the charges of Careless Operation, No Insurance and No Drivers License. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in the Berwick area, when a traffic stop was conducted on suspect vehicle for a burnt headlight. During investigation it was learned that suspect had a warrant for his arrest and was driving under suspension. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $2500.00 bond and was later released.
Sara B. Conner 21 yoa of 2137 River Road, Berwick was arrested on 3-5-2010 at 11:19 pm for DWI. Deputy was called to Charlene's Road House Lounge in Berwick in reference to an accident in the parking lot involving a Berwick Police Department unit. Upon Deputy's arrival it was learned that above suspect backed into the Berwick Police Department unit that was in the parking lot reference a disTurbinece complaint. Upon coming into contact with the driver of suspect vehicle an odor of alcoholic beverage was observed upon her person. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Morgan City Police Department to run on the Intoxilyzer 5000. Suspect had a test result of .082g%. Suspect was booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.
Leo Green 44 yoa of 168 Verdun Lane, Verdunville was arrested on 3-6-2010 at 3:34 am for Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated, Resisting an Officer, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and warrants for Failure to Appear for Criminal Neglect of Family and Failure to Appear for Drug Court Status Conference. Deputy was called to the Chevron Station on Hwy 317 in reference to a complaint. Upon Deputy's arrival above suspect was observed leaning over the counter intoxicated and causing a disTurbinece. Suspect was placed under arrest at which time he began to resist and had to be physically subdued. It was also learned of warrants for suspect's arrest. Upon suspect being booked into the parish jail drug paraphernalia was located on his person and he was additionally charged. Suspect was booked into the Parish jail with a $113,233.40 Bond at this time.
Jerrid W. Taylor 36 yoa of 216 Field St., Bayou Vista and Keith A. Loupe 30 yoa of 5797 West Main St., Houma, La. were arrested on 3-6-2010 at 6:58 pm for Prohibited Off Road Vehicle on Roadway. Deputy was patrolling
River Road
in Berwick when he observed above suspect riding ATV's on the roadway and conducted a stop. Both Suspects were placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 5-26-2010.
Scott M. Elliot 33 yoa of 815 Hwy 90 West Plantation in Room #110, Bayou Vista was arrested on 3-6-2010 at 7:36 pm for Disturbing the Peace Intoxicated and Remaining Where Forbidden. Deputy was called to Wal-mart in Bayou Vista in reference to an intoxicated subject attempting to steal a bottle of alcohol. Upon Deputy's arrival suspect was located in the GardenCenter and it was learned that he had been previously banned from Wal-mart. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $750.00 bond at this time.
Brandon Lebouef 28 yoa of 3707 I.C. Suire Road, Erath, La. was arrested on 3-7-2010 at 4:35 am for Possession of Marijuana. Deputy was patrolling Hwy 90 in The Four Corners area, when he observed suspect vehicle parked on the shoulder of roadway with his lights on and no emergency flashers. Deputy conducted a stop to check on motorist and observed an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A consent to search was received with Deputy located a bag of marijuana in the center console. After investigation Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the parish jail with a $2000.00 bond and was later released.
Adrian Hixon 27 yoa of 8905 Hwy 182, Franklin was arrested on 3-7-2010 at 6:45 pm for Theft of Goods. Deputy was conducting an investigation into a theft that occurred at the Chevron Station on Hwy 317 in Centerville. During investigation video was observed on above suspect taking items and concealing them on his person. Clerk also retrieved a license plate of vehicle suspect was in. Deputy went to 8905 Hwy 182 in Franklin and located suspect vehicle and made contact with above suspect. After investigation suspect was placed under arrest and issued a summons to appear in court on 5-26-2010.
Aaron Lanclos 22 yoa of 121 Lanclos Lane, Franklin was arrested on 3-7-2010 at 9:33 pm on a warrant for Disturbing the Peace Loud Music. Suspect was located at his residence, placed under arrest on warrant and issued a summons to appear in court on 5-26-2010.
