The defending Sun Belt Conference champion Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's basketball team was picked to finish in a tie for second-place, while seniors JaKeenan Gant and Marcus Stroman each claimed early honors as the league office released its 2018-19 Preseason Poll on Thursday.

Actually we were picked 5th.

I think second when you lost 3 1,000 point scorers and a 1,000 rebound guy is a tad high.

Even when picked 5th, it was just a couple points based on total votes behind 2nd. There was a large gap between 5th and 6th.

Just give me a postseason berth (NIT or NCAA), and I'll be happy regardless of this preseason prediction.
