Breaux must sit out a year before playing for the Cajuns

Transfer and lose a year has been a rule as long as I can remember.

In softball, a school is able to release someone to play immediately where baseball is not. The softball players school/coach also has the right not to allow them to play right away and make them sit out a year but the player typically can go to a review board at the school for final determination. In effect, UL could have blocked all three players from playing immediately.

Since 2008. It dropped the transfer rate between 4-year schools by about 60%.
