Just heard interview on KPEL with Gunner. What a classy, family oriented young man. He epitomizes what kind of person you want representing the University of Louisiana. Hope he recovers from his surgeries and is able to return to the mound for the Cajuns in 2019. Even if he never throws another pitch for the Cajuns he will be remembered as one of the best on and off the diamond.

His 2017 season was one of the best ever for a Cajun pitcher. What he did with a crazy femur cyst and a shredded UCL, makes Gunner's season almost impossible to believe.
What the coach did to an injured player to further his own status is just a SHAME!!! Can't tell me that the kid got hurt 3 weeks after the season was over when he wasn't even throwing...he was hurt during the end of the season and the "coach" still pitched him...what does he have to look forward to now ...pitching for the same "coach" again in 2019 and hoping to get drafted as a 24 year old...better have a degree by then...
