Former ECHL city is the latest to revive hockey in the Southeast.
The SPHL has added an eighth city, Augusta, for the 2010-2011 season.
Hockey returns to the James Brown Arena for the first time since the Augusta Lynx (ECHL) folded in December of 2008. With the addition of the yet-to-be named franchise, the league will feature eight teams for the first time since the 2006-2007 season. Original franchises Columbus, Fayetteville, Huntsville and Knoxville were joined this season by Louisiana, Pensacola and Mississippi.
