Cajuns Sign Post Player! End of Long Era?
Cajuns Sign Post Player! End of Long Era?
I think this pretty much seals it!
Lafayette,(La.)- The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball program reached down into the junior college ranks to add a post player to the 2015 Class. Go inside the Cajun Redzone for the latest on Ragin' Cajuns hoops recruiting!

6-11 Center commits to Cajuns
The UL basketball team picked up a verbal commitment late Monday night from Larenz Stalcup, a 6-foot-11, 230-pound big man from Snow College in Utah.
Re: 6-11 Center commits to Cajuns
I would hope it wasn't an either/or situation.
Seems to me Shawn would thrive with a true big man on the team.

BJ, props to Buckley for giving you credit for breaking the story.

I presume Cajun T's comment that "this pretty much seals it" is in reference to his view Long will not return. Although I know nothing official, I would be very surprised (nearly shocked) if Shawn returns.

Did I miss what his remaining eligibility is?

"In league play the Colorado native’s numbers increased to 8.2 points, 7.5 rebounds (second in conference) and 1.6 blocks (second in league) in 24.3 minutes a game. Stalcup, who has two years left to play, is known for his length and ability to rebound and defend."

Mike, doing the math I do not believe they will have anymore scholarships available unless someone else leaves the program.

Who else recruited and who else offered? If that info is reserved for subscription members then I respect that, but just thought I'd ask.

Idaho and Northern Colorado. His coach said he had interest from other schools and including a few that came in late but Larenz told them he was coming to UL.
