UL — Ragin’ Cajuns football fans will have an option to sit in an alcohol-free zone at today’s University of Louisiana football game against North Texas.
The zone is in Section N within the Red Zone.
On Sept. 12, beer became a concession option at the stadium.
The alcohol-free zone is sponsored by the UL School Leaders Involved in Drinking & Drug Education, the UL athletic department and The Lafayette Coalition to Prevent Substance Abuse.

Not a place I want to be in. Now if they designate a Free-Alcohol Zone, I'm there.

OMG! That section was empty tonight. LOL!
Re: Alcohol-free zone set at Cajun Field
I think I counted around 15 people in that section.

lol, big surprise. Is that the section the band is in? We'd have to move if it is!

Yeah, me too!! Especially after paying $6/beer last night!! I guess that is to be expected at a sporting event though, I think I paid $8 at an Astro's game last year.
Bring on the Free-Alcohol Zone!!

Yes it is the same section as the band. That explains why the whole section looked empty anyway. No band there and no people taking advantage of the alcohol-free section....
Re: Alcohol-free zone set at Cajun Field
I don't want to move to the designated alcohol-free section (N) just because I prefer not to sit next to someone that is drinking beer...after beer...after beer.
I would rather there be a designated free-alcohol section for those that want to drink beer.
Actually, my family teased my father-in-law all evening. Two very friendly, but extremely intoxicated middle-aged men came and sat right in front of him at the game. They obnoxiously turned around and talked and talked to him during intense parts of the game. He was really glad when they moved on... This sort of thing has happened to my very reserved father-in-law at other sporting events - not just UL. I guess he is just a magnet to those that have had about 5 too many...O..
