Speed Possible Factor in Crash that Kills Motorcyclist
A Maurepas man is dead after a motorcycle crash Thursday on LA Hwy 22 east of LA Hwy 16 in Livingston Parish.
Investigating Troopers say 35-year-old Irvin Lachney was riding a motorcycle at a high rate of speed eastbound on LA Hwy 22. Investigators say after exiting a curve, Lachney crossed the center line and drove into a ditch. Troopers say the motorcycle continued through the ditch before hitting a driveway embankment. Investigators say Lachney was thrown from the motorcycle.
