The other barely got to play any position this past season for the Division I, District 4 champion Lady Lions due to a knee injury.
Both Brooke Perry and Maci Andrus, though, aren't real concerned with such details these days.
Instead, they're determined to do what it takes to help build the UL women's soccer program after signing national letters of intent with the Lady Cajuns on Wednesday.

"The coach (Scot Wieland) said he likes my versatility,'' Perry said. "I can play offense or defense and the fact that I'm good out of the air with balls.''
A year ago, Perry played sweeper for the Lady Lions. For many of the games, especially in league play, that didn't provide enough action for Perry's taste. Her return to the midfield this season was more to her liking and she's responded with 11 goals and nine assists.
"I prefer midfield,'' said Perry, who selected UL over Centenary. "There was just too much standing around in the back. That wasn't as fun for me.''
Everyone, meanwhile, was impressed with how Andrus has returned to the field for the Lady Lions three games prior to the playoffs after suffering a torn ACL knee injury in a select scrimmage on Aug. 18 and had surgery on Sept. 12.
"The doctor just told me that it depended on how hard I rehabed, so I knew I was coming back,'' Andrus said. "I was going to work as hard as it took to get back. I was happy to catch the end of district.''
In her three games, Andrus has already contributed an assist and two goals from her forward position. She's also played outside-mid.
"Maci's very good with the ball,'' LHS coach Katie Breaux said. "She makes things happen for the other players. She just brings everyone else alive. Her vision is so rare.''
Andrus said she chose UL over Centenary and Northwestern State.
"I think he (Wieland) is doing a good job of trying to promote the soccer program more, so I decided to stay home,'' Andrus said.
Breaux said Perry is capable of playing either position, depending on the coach's philosophy, but "I see her more as a defender. She's a very aggressive player.''
This LHS duo know makes it eight Lady Lion soccer players who have signed collegiately over the past three seasons.
