Cox / Direct TV / Dish

Need some help. Cox is putting the screws to me and I am looking to switch. Which service is better when it come to UL.

I went through that last year with Cox and went with Directv. They have some good points , but no one covers UL and this region like Cox. Signal loss whenever you have a heavy rain, which has happened frequently. Go in and talk to Cox in person for their final offer before you switch. Cox people on phone could not care less.

Pride when I lived in LaPlace I got the Dish, and got Cox sports channel in high definition. Nobody will give you Cox 4 which is a local Cox channel and the home to the Ragin Cajun Network. I liked the Dish a lot and would be on it if not for the Cox local sports channel #4. NFL is on Direct for what it is worth.

Was with cox in Kaplan, moved to Leroy and the only have dish or direct tv, and both suck compared to cox.

Avoid dish to boycott the sec network.

HS Internet + Netflix + Hulu + a friend's Cox login for ESPN = No cable bill.

I hear through the grapevine that Cox may be losing it's WatchESPN access sometime later this year. Would screw over many people.

that's the only reason I went back to Cox. If they drop it I will drop them and get someone else. That or I will also install Slingbox or similar device a my parents to get local Lafayette broadcasts

I just wish Directv would stop being prudes and let the internet help them expand their market share.

It is coming and I think pretty soon. I work for a cable TV company, although not on the cable TV side, and we are hearing lots of rumblings. I think it is just a matter of time.

That would suck BIG TIME!!! Why is Cox losing that access?

Sling box on the parents box...brilliant.....so how does this sling box work?
