Get ready to hold your RPI ankles ...
… and squeeze. Southern is coming to town to make an awful contribution to the Cajuns' SOS. A contribution that will take the Cajuns' RPI down about .0050 if the Cajuns win … factoring out what other Cajun opponents and opponent's opponents do tonight. Southern will make a very poor contribution to both the Cajuns' OWP and OOWP … though one would hope that their OWP contribution improves as they get further into conference play.
Currently, there is a .0046 gap between the Cajuns at #10 and Texas at #11 … so it may or may not quite translate to a drop in ranking. But there are several other teams lined up behind Texas that are also within striking distance.
How is the weather looking?

Would a rainout with no make up date be in our best interest?

A lot of rain in between Houston and Lake Charles heading east at a pretty good clip. Although I want another fix of Cajun baseball, I think we would all give up a game in order spare the Cajuns of a terrible RPI hit.

Are the Ladies playing tonight in Houston or has that been rained out?

Announced earlier that the first game scheduled for 4pm was cancelled, but the 6pm game was still going to be played. I haven't heard anything new on that.
Re: Get ready to hold your RPI ankles ...
Both rained out, per one of the softball threads.
