UL in the world of scary logo's

American football is 30% preparation, 30% talent, and a full 40% intimidation.
Little wonder that most college football logos feature wild animals snarling, charging, diving, swooping, thrusting, clawing, ramming or otherwise threatening all manner of bodily harm. Those logos that don't suggest patent hostility have such significant histories of dominating opponents that they can rely on a single letter and a single color to instill fear in their opponents.
Some schools, though, apparently didn’t get the memo and instead opted for, intentionally or otherwise, something more . . . approachable. Something cute, cuddly, or just downright comedic.

So, with everything going on in the world of college sports, this is what they thought is worthwhile? Sports journalism at it's best.

Well, it IS a Tennessee blog. What do you expect from those red-(or is it ORANGE?)necks?? Personally, I don't know which school's colors are worse, UCLA's baby-blue or that putred light orange of the vols.
Re: UL in the world of scary logo's
That was pretty funny. I've always chucked at some of these logo's.
As for hideous colors, nothing compares to the other UT. Burnt Orange...yuk!

I have to disagree. I love Texas' burnt orange. LSU's colors on the other hand are hideous. So much so that they wear white for every game. Purple is a terrible color for a uniform.
