UL Run Game Well-Oiled Machine
In 2011, UL averaged 125.2 rushing yards per game. In 2012, it was up to 193.5 per game.
And after producing 265 yards in last Tuesday night's 23-7 Sun Belt Conference win at Arkansas State, the Ragin' Cajun ground attack is averaging 229.3 yards per game through seven outings so far in 2013...
Re: UL Run Game Well-Oiled Machine
This is a good article. I like the interview and quotes directly from the players, especially Huval. When your running game is executing this well, and you have the aerial bombardment to turn to as well, you are extremely difficult for opposing teams to handle. I was extremely impressed with our OL against both WKU and ASU. They were so dominant. That is where the game is won or lost. On that line of scrimmage IMO.
Our DL was even the best I've ever seen them. I actually think the Hud system is becoming more of a factor in the entire depth of this team than what we've seen in the past 2 years. I'm enjoying this massively.
Good job Cajuns!!!
Re: UL Run Game Well-Oiled Machine
We faced the two best defensive units in the SBC the last two weeks and totally dominated them up front. It is imperative that we dominate Troy and ULM as well; especially Troy. We need to keep Robinson where he can't hurt us.... standing on the sidelines. I don't see ULM as being as much of a problem. I believe our DL will annihilate their OL and effectively neuter their offense, so we could afford to be a little less efficient offensively. Not that I think we will.
