2012 CFN Post-Spring Rankings
77. Louisiana
(2011 Record: 9-4, 2012 Roughly Projected Record: 8-4)
How do the Ragin' Cajuns build off of arguably the best season in school history? The offense should be even stronger with nine starters back, but the defense needs a ton of work up front. Even so, this should still be a favorite in the Sun Belt race getting top contenders Western Kentucky, FIU and Arkansas State at home. Going to Oklahoma State and Florida won't help the record, but the toughest away date on
Re: 2012 CFN Post-Spring Rankings - No. 71 to 80
My take, we also get bowl contender FIU at home. It would seem that Troy on the road will be a much taller challege than Hilton-less at home.

According to this the Sun Belt is going to be much better than C-USA this year.

La Tech is ranked #45. There is no way that there is that much difference in our two teams, yet, once again, La Tech is perceived nationally as being much better. UL won it's bowl game. Tech lost in theirs. I don't know if it was playing Boise every year or what, but for some reason, Tech has a much better national reputation than they deserve. We really need to work on our marketing of the UL brand.

They will be in a very weak league this season. Hardly believe they won't win it.

I wonder where SDSU will be ranked.

Perception is everything!! While UL is worrying about branding, or re-branding, or whatever......the world is passing you guys by. Too much time is being wasted on trivial, unattainable goals.

Agreed. Tech will not rate this very high........just finish the chapter, go to a bowl, and close the book. Pretty much a lame duck season.

Sounds like you expect Tech to have the same kind of season as the Cajuns. Good luck and maybe this year y'all might win your bowl game.

Win, win, win. National respect will follow. Meanwhile, market the school and program as aggressive as possible with interest at an all-time high following a memorable 2011 season. The Cajuns took some steps forward after last year. Put together another similar season and their reputation will improve again.
