Brooke Mitchell Ties School Record For Wins

<i>Louisiana-Lafayette's Danyele Gomez pounds out two home runs in game two of doubleheader</i><blockquote><p align=justify>LOUISIANA La. - Senior All-American pitcher Brooke Mitchell tied the school record for career pitching victories in Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns' doubleheader sweep (8-11, 1-0) of Louisiana Tech here Saturday afternoon at Ragin' Cajuns Softball Park.

Mitchell (13-2) tied former Ragin' Cajuns great Kyla Hall with 104 career pitching victories. Mitchell struck out 17 batters in six innings of work. She pitched four innings in game one and pitched the first two innings in game two.

Louisiana (17-2) has now swept 36 of its last 40 doubleheaders. Louisiana Tech (8-13) has now lost five straight games.
