Awesome article. I know me and my friends were doing our best to get the crowd loud!! The student section looked rockin', just wish we had more students there. When we win, and the team sings the fight song with the students, when the whole dome echoes "GEAUX, U, L" I always get chills.

Why not have the band walk over to the student section when we win and play the fight song and let all sing along----SSSOOOO easy---please somebody with the band think outside the box----suprise us!!!!!

The problem with that is we are trying to hear the words as they are sung; the band kicks in and plays the second round. Other than that, it is a great idea!

Actually, I like it better A Capella. The players lead the student in singing the fight song, it doesn't need the band at that moment. It is one of my favorite traditions that instills a pride in the university for students, players and fans. From my seat the band sounds great during the game. Also, it is hard enough for me my friends to run over to the student side in time, much less the entire band.
