No high school coaches period! Jeff Bower, a previous and successful head coach at another university or one of the head coaches from a top 5 FBS school? ..O....O..

A must is a highly successful coach from an FCS conference. He has had to run a winning program preferably of his own making and had success recruiting. Also needs to know how to work with less money than he will have at UL.

There aren't many Joe Waltons' and Mike Kellys' (Dayton retired) out there but they are out there.

Rick Chamberlin (Dayton) is successful but he took over a successful program.

Kerwin Bell at Jacksonville

Danny Rocco at Liberty would be worth $400,000 out the gate.

Otherwise you go down to DIII and offer a $125,000 base with "double your salary/double your salary" incentives for the first two years.

why not Bowden at N. Alabama?
Coach Broadway at Grambling St.??? Longshot but they have had success there heh

I cannot disagree more with your DIII theory. Those guys have never signed a scholarship player, nor recruited a DI athlete.

I know nothing of your FCS guys, but we should do their research.

Bowden would be a terrible hire. He is making his living off of guys that can't play here. I recently looked at his roster and he has 22 BCS transfers and over 30 transfers all together...he would not be able to do that here.
