Former AES Counselor Pleads Guilty by Reason of Insanity

The attorney for Dr. Allison Hargrave says she has mental health issues and that may be how he defends her in court.
Kevin Stockstill has until July 19th to notify the court of his intentions: His client, Hargrave, may plead insanity.
Dr. Hargrave is charged with sending sexually explicit emails to a young female student whom she was counseling. She could face a life sentence if convicted.
Yesterday at a detention hearing in federal court, several emails were presented that detailed sexual encounters, affairs Hargrave was also having with 2 school employees and Hargrave's use of sex toys.
KATC attempted to get those emails today (typically evidence would become public record) but the emails have been sealed by court order.
Hargrave remains in jail, a judge will decide in the coming days if she can be released as she awaits trial in August.
