Cooking ALL of Grandma's Recipes - Hearty Beef’n Potato Casserole

<p>Every ingredient in this dish was something that my husband LOVES. I also like these things, but he is known for putting french fried onions on_<em>everything</em>.

I did a few things differently. The recipes calls for frozen potatoes, but I couldn’t find any at the grocery store. What I did find, was canned potatoes. I bought a 30oz can of them and used the whole thing. Also, I used ground turkey meat instead of ground beef. I personally prefer the flavor, and it is a little healthier. The tomato was optional, so I left it out because I wasn’t in the mood for it.

This meal was so delicious. It was very easy to make, and it was very fast. My favorite part? It’s pretty healthy. I’ve been paying more attention to foods that I eat now that I’m pregnant, so I was very pleased at how healthy this dinner was compared to some of the other meals in the recipe box. When I make this again (because I definitely will.
