Abbeville - School Board members disagree over lease

Tempers flared between school board members Anthony Fontana and Bill Searle at Thursday’s meeting, June 3, when discussion began to cancel an agricultural lease.
Fontana moved to terminate the lease on Section 16, Township 13 South, Range 2 West for noncompliance and no cooperation.
“We’re losing money on this thing,” Fontana said. “They stuck their finger at us. He (Kirk Soileau) has contacted them over and over again. They came and signed.”
In response, Searle pounded his fist and said, “You don’t know anything about this section!”
