If Tony needs to give a couple of guys rest after playing 3 this weekend and soon to be playing an earlier series (Thu through Sat) in order to avoid any possible injury, etc in the coming weekend and conference tournament, then that's what he has to do. His pitching choices are how they should be. You need all kinds of arms if you want to win the conference tournament, which is one of the goals along with winning the regular season. You cant just have some of these guys coming in a SBC tournament game without pitching for 3 weeks.
Every game matters, but you have to balance the consequences of your decisions. Cook is usually our Sunday guy, but Tony wants to move him to the 4th spot in midweek. Well you know what, Cook gave up runs last night. Its not like he started a random guy.
Bottom line is, if we take care of business in the important games, then Tony's decisions were sound. Get upset all you want, but hopefully we can agree that Robe undoubtedly knows what goes on with the RPI and knows far more than any of us about his players and their needs.
I'm pretty sure Brian has said before that he believed .500 ball would be good the rest of the way. _
