Perhaps I’m new to the lack of attendance at Cajun Field (I remember the 2011-2019 eras fondly), but why in the hell are we only filling 3,500 seats at a nationally televised game?
Is it the University’s policies, or a general lack of excitement? I’m so lost.

To be fair attendance is down across the nation, just more pronounced here; disheartening considering how exciting the Sun Belt has become, but the average person just wants to party and it’s not exactly a big party or great atmosphere at Cajun field these days.

Basically all of the above. The admin could do a much better job. But I also whole heartedly believe that the Cajuns could be the #1 team in the country and Lafayette still wouldn’t show up.
Still have the record for conference championship games. 2021. By a lot.
They will show up. Just have to push the right buttons.
The obvious thing nationwide was the government Covid shutdown and mask deal. People found other things to amuse themselves with, such as watching sports via streaming.Quote:

RCAF growth isn’t just a UL thing. Other universities are struggling too with the advent of NIL and the above mentioned issues.
