Cajun Baseballers in the draft
Re: Cajun Baseballers in the draft
I find it interesting that after a couple of proven college kids go 1-2 the next pick is a high schooler
Re: Cajun Baseballers in the draft
This is after the fact but here are some fun Roccaforte numbers before being drafted #66
#2##2# played for Louisiana 3 years 22x3=66
Sticking with dual numbers
55 RBI
22 stolen bases

Very nice.
Re: Cajun Baseballers in the draft
im sure we will see Julian Brock's name called tonight.
I am kinda Curious if Hood had any workouts with teams, he had a really good year in 2023.
Nezuh/Fluno would be nice to have back if their names aren't called.

Julian will be called, no doubt, Hood has a chance and I think should get a chance regardless. I think Fluno will be back, Nezuh is the question mark. The way he came on the 2nd half of the year is nothing short of remarkable. In listening to a couple of interviews with Deggs, I think he would be surprised if Nezuh is not drafted this year.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that he does not get a call. Kid could be a special player for us next year. But yes, he is on the table as well.
Re: Cajun Baseballers in the draft
JT Ethridge is another that may have his name called. He struggled at the start of the season due to having no fall while rehabbing from surgery.
His “stuff” out of the bullpen towards the end of the season screamed draft-able.
There are also some signees that the staff will be sweating as well.
We shall see.
Either way, having guys drafted in rounds that get them paid is a huge recruiting tool.

Do you think they are looking at whole numbers or drilling down like that?
