Deggs convinced UL's 2020 lineup will flourish in his 'Pack' hitting system
Some of the players on this years UL baseball team were around when new head coach Matt Deggs was the Ragin’ Cajuns hitting coach from 2012-14.
For those who weren’t following Cajun baseball then, they could purchase their head coach’s book, “The Pack.”

Does "Some of the players on this years UL baseball team were around" (in 2014) mean they grew up in Acadiana and were in the 8th grade, or that they have had 7 years of eligibility?

In 14, you are recruiting for 16 and possibly some for 17

On The SportsNote coach Babineaux said they were around "in the city" nothing related to the baseball team.
He said Gunner's class was the year after Deggs.

Deggs talked about this and mentioned Hayden and Breaux were at the stadium for some of the games in the 2014 run and other guys were watching what was going on as young kids. The 2014 team formed a positive impression on a lot of young guys' minds. They weren’t being recruited at the time. They were just able to witness a great team at an impressionable time in their life.

Breaux was a senior in 15, Bourgouis a senior in 14, both most likely recruited by deggs and hannie and Cantrelle were most likely around those years
