City-Parish President Joey Durel Names New Assistant

LAFAYETTE - Lafayette City-Parish President Joey Durel announced today the hiring of Carlee Alm-LaBar as his assistant, replacing Ben Berthelot, who was named Director of Community Development. Her first official day will be March 15, 2010.
Alm-LaBar comes to the position after over eight years in the non-profit sector, most recently as the Marketing and Communications Director for Community Foundation of Acadiana.
"Carlee will be a great addition to our team at Lafayette Consolidated Government," said Durel. "Her background, community involvement, and education make her an excellent fit, and I know that she will serve the people of Lafayette Parish well in this position."
